Underground tanks are becoming more and more of a hot topic. If it is active, how long will it last? If it is abandoned, is there a problem? The costs associated with removing the tank and replacing it with a new tank can run into the thousands. Now, there is help for Homeowners. The State of New Jersey wants to encourage all Homeowners to remove their underground tanks. The State, through the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) has implemented a new Grant program. If a Homeowner qualifies, and most do, the State will reimburse up to $3000 in tank removal charges and in installation charges. |
